This beautiful acrylic painting on reclaimed Cornish slate by South Devon artist Kate Andrew brings a sense of hope and storytelling into any room. The artwork depicts a friendly fox and white hare sitting together at the foot of a steep green hill, surrounded by a detailed foreground of colorful wildflowers, dandelions, and a red mushroom. An owl glides gracefully across a dark, star-speckled sky while a white cottage with a distinct red roof rests atop the hill. Arching beneath the large, glowing full moon is the encouraging C.S. Lewis quote, “There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind.” Hand-painted, signed by the artist, and securely mounted onto a clean white wooden backing board, this character-filled piece makes an inspiring and sentimental gift.
