Fair Winds and following seas – egg shell art

This captivating, highly unique 3D wall art installation entitled “Fair Winds and Following Seas“ is a masterful demonstration of sustainable luxury by South Devon-based artist Julia Chatting. Handcrafted using meticulously trimmed, recycled free-range chicken eggshells, this delicate mixed-media cluster brings a beautiful organic dimension to coastal artwork. Each individual shell is like a miniature canvas, intricately hand-painted with acrylics and alcohol inks to depict a gradient of rolling ocean waves, misty sea foam, and stormy depths. A single, striking shell is lined with a radiant, hand-applied gold leaf finish, catching the light like a setting sun or a guiding lighthouse beam over a deep indigo and turquoise tide. Housed within a clean, deep white wooden shadow box frame, the artwork is protected by premium, non-reflective art glass-ensuring you can appreciate every crisp, tactile texture free of glare or shadows.
