Parent and Child – Stood – Saggar Fired Ceramics

This tender, hand-sculpted ceramic figurative duo by Totnes-based artist Mandy Race beautifully explores themes of connection, family, and companionship. The stylised, abstract silhouettes feature a taller and a smaller figure standing intimately side-by-side, their minimalist forms radiating a quiet, emotional warmth. Utilising her signature saggar-firing method, the artist has infused the matte clay surfaces with unpredictable, organic veins of deep ocean blue, sea-foam teal, and sandy beige tones. These painterly markings mimic the natural weathering of coastal rock faces and tidal pools, transforming the figures into a timeless piece of sculptural art that anchors a sense of love and serenity within any home.

Dimensions are: 16.5cm x 10cm
