Long necked decorated bird
This striking hand-built ceramic long-necked bird by Dartmoor ceramicist Janie Ramsay has a wonderfully sculptural and characterful form. Its elegant, elongated neck and simple pointed beak give it a distinctive silhouette, while the soft blue glaze is beautifully complemented by the natural clay-coloured beak. Delicate hand-drawn markings decorate the body and wing, adding texture, movement and individuality to the piece. Full of charm and personality, this unique handmade ceramic bird would make a beautiful statement display piece on a shelf, mantelpiece or sideboard, bringing a touch of colour and handcrafted character to the home.
